Candle Care Tips
-
The first time you light your candle don't forget to trim your wick to 1/4 in. (1/8 in. for wooden wicks) with a wick trimmer or nail clippers.
-
Let the candle burn long enough to form a liquid wax along the top. So if your candle is 3" wide, let it burn for at least 3 hours.
-
After the first burn, try to light your candle for as often as you can to keep the previously formed wide opening and prevent tunneling later on.
-
Use a candle snuffer or create a thimble-shaped cone using a piece of foil.
-
If you can, always keep your candle covered after burning to protect it from dust and to preserve the wax and scent throw.
-
Allow your candle to sit for 1+ week after creation, for a stronger cold and hot throw.
