When Can I Burn My Candle?

Allow your candle to cure for one to two weeks after pouring for the strongest fragrance performance. It can be burned sooner, but the scent may continue developing as it cures.

Before Each Burn

Trim a cotton wick to approximately ¼ inch.

Trim a wooden wick to approximately ⅛ inch.

Remove any wick debris before lighting.

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

First Burn

Allow the melted wax to reach close to the vessel’s edges before extinguishing the candle. This helps reduce tunneling and creates a more even burn.

Burn Safely

Burn for no more than four hours at a time.

Keep the candle within sight.

Keep it away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects.

Stop use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains.

Never move the vessel while the wax is hot.

Drying time depends on the thickness of the bundle, the amount of plant material used, humidity, and airflow. Most bundles need approximately one to two weeks, but thicker bundles may require additional time.

The bundle is ready when the leaves and stems feel dry and crisp rather than cool, soft, or flexible.

How to Use It

Place the sage bundle over a stable, heat-resistant bowl or incense holder.
Light the tip of the bundle.
Allow the flame to catch briefly.
Gently blow or fan out the flame.
Confirm that the tip is smoldering and producing a small amount of smoke.
Hold the bundle over the fire-resistant container so loose ash and embers are safely collected.
Extinguish the bundle completely after use.
