HOW IT WORKS

1 / WE SET UP

Our team arrives early with everything needed to transform your space into a mobile incense-making studio.

2 / EXPLORE YOUR SCENT

Guests explore curated essential and fragrance oils before selecting or creating an aromatic blend that reflects their preferences.

3 / CHOOSE YOUR BOTANICALS

Select from dried botanical additions such as lavender buds and rose petals to add texture and character to your incense mixture.

4 / BLEND YOUR INGREDIENTS

Each guest combines makko powder, botanicals, and their selected fragrance before gradually adding the liquid ingredients needed to bind the mixture.

5 / SHAPE YOUR CONES

Guests hand-shape the prepared mixture into individual incense cones while learning how size, texture, and consistency affect the finished result.

6 / PACKAGE + CURE

Each participant packages their freshly shaped incense cones and receives drying and burning instructions.

The cones must remain uncovered in a well-ventilated area for approximately 72 hours before burning.

WORKSHOP FAQs

1 / How long is an incense cone-making workshop?

Most incense cone-making workshops last approximately 90 minutes to two hours.

Larger groups, multi-experience events, and activations may use a longer or rotating workshop format. Additional event time may be added based on staffing, workshop format, and availability.

2 / What’s included?

Einnim provides the makko powder, liquid ingredients, fragrance options, dried botanicals, bowls, mixing tools, parchment paper, packaging, table protection, guided instruction, setup, and cleanup.

Custom fragrance selections, upgraded packaging, additional incense cones, and co-branded elements may be available for an additional fee.

3 / How far does Einnim travel?

We typically travel within roughly 40 miles of Oak Brook and throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Extended travel may be available for corporate events, larger groups, multi-session programs, and large-scale activations.

4 / How many guests can participate?

Einnim can accommodate private gatherings of 4 to 15 guests, group workshops for 16 to 49 guests, and large-scale activations for 50 to 500+ participants.

Guest minimums, staffing requirements, and event formats vary by booking type.

5 / Where can the workshop be hosted?

Incense cone-making workshops can be held in homes, offices, event venues, residential communities, park districts, schools, patios, and other locations with adequate table space.

Access to a nearby sink is helpful but isn’t required directly at each guest’s workspace.

Outdoor workshops are available when weather and venue conditions allow.

6 / Can the experience be customized?

Yes. Custom options may include curated fragrance selections, botanical combinations, seasonal themes, branded packaging, co-branded signage, custom labels, and guest gifting.

Additional fees may apply.

7 / How much does a workshop cost?

Private Gatherings

Incense cone-making workshops start at $40 per guest for one experience, with a $375 minimum event subtotal.

Corporate + Group Workshops

Incense cone making starts at $32.50 per guest. Operating, travel, and staffing fees may apply based on the event location and format.

Large-Scale Activations

Custom quotes are available for events with 50 to 500+ participants.

Co-branding, upgraded packaging, additional staffing, shipping, extended travel, and custom materials may require additional fees.

8 / How long do the incense cones need to dry?

Finished incense cones must dry for approximately 72 hours before burning.

Place the cones uncovered on the provided parchment paper in a dry, well-ventilated location. Drying time may vary depending on the cone size, room temperature, and humidity.

The cones should feel completely firm and dry before use.

9 / How should the finished incense cones be burned?

Burn one incense cone at a time on a stable, heat-resistant incense holder in a well-ventilated space.

Light the tip of the cone, allow the flame to burn briefly, and gently extinguish the flame so the cone continues to smolder.

Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.

DIY BOTANICAL INCENSE CONE KIT

Blend makko powder, dried botanicals, and a warm woodsy fragrance blend to hand-shape five incense cones at home.
