Disconnect and Create: Mobile Self-Care and Mental Health Awareness in Chicagoland

I've been getting a TON of inquiries for Mental Health Awareness Month in May, which prompted me to write this post. If you've followed my journey, you know how important mental health awareness is to me, since I myself struggle with depression, anxiety, and preexisting health conditions. I started Einnim to give people a small piece of solace during the pandemic and to escape the corporate world.
This turned into something that was way bigger than me, which is why I've gone on this path of mobile self-care. I did such a bad job taking care of myself in the corporate world, so my motto is "pay it forward." People pay it forward in different ways, and this is the best way I knew how to.
The Need to Disconnect and Breathe
Across Chicago and the western suburbs, from Schaumburg to Naperville and everywhere in between, we are all feeling the same collective burnout. We spend our days staring at screens, managing overflowing inboxes, and rushing from one commitment to the next. Finding effective mental health awareness activities isn't just about reading a pamphlet; it's about actively stepping away from the noise and doing something restorative.
That need to disconnect is exactly why Einnim exists today.
Tactile Therapy: Healing Through Mindful Crafting
There is a profound mental clarity that comes from working with your hands and engaging your senses. Science shows that grounding yourself in a tactile activity can actively lower cortisol levels and ease anxiety.

When you sit down to create, you are forced to be present. Whether we're pouring custom candles or mixing small-batch soaps, the process itself is the therapy. Engaging with calming, natural essential oils like Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Teakwood taps directly into the brain's emotional center, helping to release tension and anchor you in the moment. It is a creative, hands-on escape from the daily grind.
Mobile Self-Care Brought Directly to You
Prioritizing your mental health shouldn't add more stress or travel time to your plate.
Because Einnim operates as a mobile self-care studio, I bring the entire grounding experience directly to your home, office, community centers, conferences, or private event spaces anywhere in the Chicagoland area.
You provide the people, we provide the solace.
We handle the setup, the materials, and the instruction, creating a safe, relaxing environment for your team, group, or friends to just breathe and be.
